How to Winterize a Pressure Washer

To extend the life of your Mi‑T‑M pressure washer, proper maintenance is a must. This includes winterizing the pressure washer pump. Follow these steps on how to properly winterize your pressure washer. We explain the steps for a gas pressure washer and an electric pressure washer.

Important Note: You will need the Mi-T-M pump saver solution for these steps.

Getting Started → Winterizing A Gas Pressure Washer

For electric pressure washers, follow these steps.

  1. Disconnect the hose, the gun and wand assembly from the pressure washer, draining as much water as possible from them. how to image
  2. Attach the pump saver directly to the water inlet. how to image
  3. Turn the knob on the bottle to the open position. how to image
  4. Pull on the recoil a couple of times until the liquid coming out is 100 percent solution. how to image

Getting Started → Winterizing An Electric Pressure Washer

  1. Disconnect the hose, the gun and wand assembly from the pressure washer, draining as much water as possible from them. how to image

  4. Squeeze the bottle while turning the motor on, until the liquid coming out is 100 percent solution. how to image
