Maintenance Technician | Shift: 1st Shift

The successful applicant will assist the maintenance department to ensure all equipment is functioning safely and properly. Communicate and work directly with a number of different departments to install, maintain and repair equipment as needed. Follow all safety rules and regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain and repair machinery and equipment as needed.
  • Troubleshoot, install, and repair electrical, hydraulic and mechanical devices.
  • Ability to work with 110 to 480 three phase electrical.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and buildings.
  • Maintain an organized, clean and safe work area.
  • Ensure repairs and maintenance to all equipment and facilities are performed in a neat workmanship-like manner.
  • Maintain proper safety conditions of equipment and of Company assets.
  • Comply with all standard safety practices, safety guidelines, and all Company guidelines and policies.
  • Identify and communicate all issues and/or problems in a proactive manner to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Clean and assist with upkeep of the facilities.
  • Performs routine maintenance on building systems.
  • Perform snow removal related activities when necessary.
  • Additional duties as assigned by manager.


  • Associates degree (AA) from two-year college or tech school; or at least 3 years related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of general plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repair.
  • Can operate scissor/boom lift at high heights.
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
  • Experience with mechanical systems (e.g., gear boxes, chains, sprockets, motors, seals, bearings).
  • Experience with basic electrical systems (e.g., starters, fuses, contacts, relays, installation, frequency drive, troubleshooting).
  • Ability to utilize schematics (e.g., electrical blueprints with switched, starts, maps, relays).
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns.
  • Must be able to understand and follow instructions from supervisor.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Candidate must be reliable. Regular attendance is required
  • Excellent work ethic with the ability to work independently or with minimal supervision
  • Full time position
    • 1st shift: Monday - Friday
  • Must be willing to work overtime as required
  • Prolonged periods standing and walking. Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend or crawl into awkward spaces. Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Pre-employment drug test and strength test are required
