Using Detergents With Your Pressure Washer

There are several detergents that can be used with the Mi-T-M pressure washer to boost its cleaning power. An all-purpose cleaner is perfect for heavily soiled areas around the outside of your home.

Steps for electric-powered pressure washers:

1. 1To apply detergent using an electric powered pressure washer, first prepare the electric pressure washer for standard operation.
2. 2When using detergents, you must first connect the low-pressure black nozzle to the gun and wand assembly.
3. 3Locate the clear detergent pick up hose that is already attached to the pressure washer pump.
4. 4Simply submerge the end of this hose into the bottle of detergent and make sure it stays submerged during your washing process.
5. 5After attaching the hose to the gun assembly, you're ready to start cleaning with detergent.

Steps for gas-powered pressure washers:

1. 1Prepare the gas pressure washer for standard operation. However, before connecting the high-pressure hose, insert the detergent injector to the quick coupler mounded on the pump.
2. 2Connect the high-pressure hose to the water inlet on the pump and insert the clear detergent pickup hose into the bottle of detergent.
3. 3Make sure the hose stays submerged during your washing process.
4. 4After attaching the hose to the gun assembly, you're ready to start cleaning with detergent.

Steps for cleaning with detergent:

1. 1When using detergent on a house or other building, start at the bottom and work your way up, to avoid streaking.
2. 2When you are ready to rinse, remove the injector hose from the detergent.
3. 3Replace the black detergent nozzle with a high-pressure nozzle.
4. 4Then, beginning at the top of the building, begin rinsing until all of the detergent is removed.
5. 5Do not allow the detergent to dry on the surface you are cleaning, and be sure to thoroughly rinse the surface.
