Fabrication Utility | Shift: 2nd Shift
Due to increasing business demand, we are looking for utility workers in our Fabrication department! Are you ready for a fun position with a growing company? Please join our fabrication team in our Laser Bed area! This entry-level position will work with the Laser Department, sorting/organizing parts after they have been cut.
Overview: The successful applicant will unload parts from the laser beds ensuring the standards of workmanship and safety are maintained. We are excited to bring someone onboard that can learn quickly, have a positive attitude, work well in a team, and who is willing to be nimble in doing various tasks to get the jobs done. Candidates must be cooperative in a team environment, and have a great working attitude
Duties and Responsibilities:
Checks load for proper raw stock, removes protective materials and empty skids.
Inspects finished product for compliance with specifications
Clean and debur parts as necessary.
Keeps count of completed product on each run and records and disposes of spoilage in designated manner.
Notifies supervisor of any major incidence of recurring equipment malfunction or poor-quality raw material or production.
Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly.
Additional duties as assigned by manager

Candidate must be reliable. Regular attendance is required
Excellent work ethic with the ability to work unsupervised or with minimal supervision while meeting all product quality requirements
Full time position
2nd shift: Monday – Thursday 3:00 pm – 1:15 am

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a key member of the Engineering team at Mi-T-M as a Drafter!
Job Summary:
Lays out complete products and prepares assembly and detail drawings, following the general instructions and directions of a project engineer. Makes various calculations such as strength of materials, weights, simple forces, and specifications. Prepares and organizes bill of materials and cost estimates.
Essential Functions:
Prepares layouts, assembly, and detail drawings for new or improved products, special machinery design, test equipment, tools, and fixtures.
Analyzes various design and safety standard requirements to recommends possible solutions or alternate constructions. Also prepares and evaluates tolerance stack ups and potential interference points.
Provides information when required for cost estimating, such as BOM lists, material nesting, labor, and assembly.
Prepares concept renderings for marketing and sales aids
Additional Responsibilities:
Assists in the follow-up of prototype construction with outside vendors.
Secures quotations and expedites materials and delivery.
Job Qualifications :
Two (2) years of college or trade school education in mechanical drawing and related areas.
Ability to move from design concept to finished design, including layouts and tolerance valuation and detailed drawings.
Knowledge and familiarity of personal computers and software, including 3D CAD (Inventor preferred) and Microsoft platform (EXCEL, WORD, PPT.)

Overview: The successful applicant will prepare raw material, hang/remove parts from the line, and package finished painted parts, preparing them for shipment. We are excited to bring someone onboard that can learn quickly, have a positive attitude, work well in a team, and who is willing to be nimble in doing various tasks to get the jobs done. Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepares and hangs parts on the powder coating conveyor line
Removes parts and packages them according to company policies and specifications
Disposes of cleanup residue in proper container according to company safety procedures. Notifies supervisor of need for disposal of any hazardous waste.

Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly.

Welder - 2nd Shift | Shift: 2nd
Mi-T-M is seeking 2nd shift welders experienced with MIG welding on 11 gauge and thinner mild steel along with thicker material. Some Stainless Steel and Aluminum MIG & TIG welding are also performed. Receives instructions, prints, and work orders for the job.
Must be able to follow work written and verbal work instruction/procedures
Fabricates parts by welding various metals by using welding techniques and appropriate welding equipment
Cleans and prepares surfaces to be welded. Sets up, assembles, and welds parts.
Repair defective surfaces.
Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly.

Requirements
Requires blue-print reading skills, production welding experience or trade school welding program and the successful completion of a welding test.
Proficient ability in MIG welding, the use of an acetylene torch, and basic knowledge of TIG welding.
Work involves varying degrees of precision and control where damage could be considerable.
Working knowledge of sheet metal

Checks Customer Specification Sheet (CSS) to determine required assembly, exterior finish on product, and any special options.
Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts, and sub-assemblies, per customer order.
Checks stock bins for adequate supplies of sub-assemblies, parts, and fasteners for the particular run. Checks for designated carton pack. Contacts material handler if shortages exist or incorrect parts are in bins.
Checks operating controls and safety stops on conveyor. Checks power and hand tools for correct operation.
From experience, resolves assembly and packing problems. Reports other problems to line supervisor for assistance.
At end of run, contacts material handler, clears stock bins and flat cartons of unused items, and prepares for next run.

Proven measurement and mathematical fraction/decimal and metric conversion skills
Ability to read blueprints
Ability to read a tape measure and caliper
